CHALLENGE
Gathering E-Commerce KPIs Under a Single, Convenient Platform
Our client, a multinational cosmetics company, wished to centralize and harmonize a number of existing e-commerce-related dashboards, which were then split between markets.
Through this process, the brand wanted easier access to key consented data points obtained through its website, all located within the same, easy-to-navigate platform for its e-commerce team. This improved access to KPIs would ultimately lead to gains in accuracy when piloting e-commerce use cases.
SOLUTION
Applying a Think-Build-Run Approach to Create an Automated Dashboard
At fifty-five, our cross-disciplinary approach to dashboarding builds upon a Think-Build-Run process.
The “Think” phase includes identifying a client’s specific needs and defining KPIs. During the “Build” phase, our teams create the technical architecture required via automated data processing pipelines through BigQuery & GA4 API requests. They then verify data quality and ensure KPI visibility on dashboarding tools. The final phase, “Run,” is about incorporating client feedback and ensuring maintenance.
For this client, the process was applied to successfully combine several dashboards into one platform, automatically updated on a daily basis with consented data from various sources.
RESULTS
Better KPI Visibility, More Accurate E-Commerce Use Cases, and a Notable Decrease in Reporting Times
The new platform enabled the brand to facilitate access to 100+ KPIs for its e-commerce teams, decreasing time spent on reporting by at least one workday per month for several teams. The teams can now easily visualize the consented data points they need within a single tool, with daily updates allowing them to pilot their use cases with greater precision.
